The Legend of the Centipede Dragon

In ancient time, when the earth was cloaked in fog and enigma, the mighty dragon king, Longwang, governed the realm. Among his numerous offspring was a formidable being referred to as the Centipede Dragon.

The Wúgōng, known as the Centipede Dragon, was a powerful creature featuring a massive centipede form and the head of a dragon. Its eyes sparkled with a hidden flame. Wúgōng was believed to have the ability to command the land, calling upon stones and dirt to follow its commands.

As Wúgōng became stronger and more powerful, it started to contest its father's authority. Longwang, intent on imparting a lesson to his child, exiled Wúgōng to the vastness of the underworld.

There, Wúgōng met the shadowy spirits of the earth, who revealed the secrets of geology and control. The Centipede Dragon mastered the ability to command the core of the earth, triggering earthquakes and landslides with just a thought.

Time went by, and Wúgōng's strength increased. It started to instill fear in the human realm, ravaging towns and settlements with its tremors and avalanches. The citizens shouted for assistance, and Longwang had no choice but to step in.

The mighty dragon king fought his own offspring, resolute in his quest to end Wúgōng's reign of fear. The ground trembled, and the heavens turned dark as the two dragons fought. Ultimately, Longwang triumphed, casting Wúgōng to the distant corners of the underworld.

Thus, the Centipede Dragon persists, a terrifying being of myth, anticipating the moment it will ascend once more and regain its true position as sovereign of the land.
